BLO facebook group! Become a fan! That's right, I decided to make a group on facebook for Boys like Orchids. Think of this as you guys' own discussion forum... http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/group.php?gid=120330321331&ref=mf I have paintshop Pro back, at the very least, so I'll be going back and editing the pages from before... make 'em better... and I'm sure the next pages will be back to the way they were. I'm gonna have to look fotr a new font when I get photoshop. Thanks, JBG! And my pens are dying. All of them. See the black? Good thing that last panel was supposed to look dreamy.... And as an added note, I am fully aware of the effects of Global Warming. I myself think it's crap, but JBG and Maxthedork have watched 'an inconvenient truth'.... Anyway, whenever it's really cold, I just say, "Global warming, my ass..." |

I would have LOVED for it to be 50 in May, LOVED it. But I live in a really warm place all the time anyway. But man, 50 sounds like such a nice Temp right now when it's in the 90's, I'd be happy to throw on a long sleeve and tights for that kinda cool. And golly you draw scarfs so adorably~ |

Curious... I found this comic through a friend (Actually, because of it's initials I thought she was looking at some oddly named porno at first) and I'm curious as to why you don't just use paint to put in your text, or if you're -desperate- for an image editing program (I assume for toning) you could just try the GIMP. (It's got a patch to make the interface look like Photoshop and everything)[and it's legally free] |

My computer did not come with MS paint, or ANY other photo-editing software. I don't understand that, but whatever. as for GIMP.... what is that? |

To dogowners... I installed Gimp and the interface for text editing was so bad... plus I couldn't change the font... and it wouldn't center anything... Nancchan, .... the 4chan part of that frightened me a bit, and considering it generates passwords for it, I'm fairly certain it's illegal. |

well, it probably is but i downloaded like 3 of those and nothing happened : D but if you are gonna take one, take one thats in .exe format because they dont ask for passwords and its the actual program, not a file with the program in it. i found those alot easier since my computers crap :\ you could also get opencanvas. thats like $80. |

You thought I was using photoshop!? XD I was using paintshop pro, and it was my parents'.... I didn't have the serial code. and i also didn't use a tablet for any of that.... i used the magic wand tool and the mouse paintbrush... |

FWWWWWOOOOOOO freezing breeze Its the middle of winter here in Oz, yet its really really sunny and warm... ... that's all WOOOOOOSSHHH Oh and photoshop problems... yeah. anything you try and download is probably gonna be illegal. you're better off maybe buying it then. Orrr better yet, save up and buy a tablet that has photoshop with it. (my tablet, a bamboo fun by wacom, came with photoshop editor 5.0, works a treat) My brother once managed to download photoshop on a torrent thing (photoshop cs2) I may have a link lying around somewhere but that's most definitely illegal. not like adobe doesnt have enough cash anyway... |

actually krii, i have the bamboo tablet you re talking about... but it didnt come with photoshop for me ^^' And yeah, I finally found paint, but again, the text editing interface was horrible, would not let me choose a font, and... actually, wouldn't let me use text. So I'm either really stupid or I'm screwed until I can get my own photoshop. |

Fifty *pfft* what a pansy. I live in the Satanic weather districts where we can get well below freezing in May (and into the negatives in winter) only for it to jump to 100 degrees in the summer. Seriously I think the weather is bipolar here... |

Just a suggestion, if you're serious about making a living as an artist, invest in computer art software. Think of it as a tool. You wouldn't steal pens from an art supply store, so don't steal illegal copies of software. If you need help let me know. Or, just a suggestion (because I see other artists doing it), take up a collection. If each of your 400+ fans sent you a dollar in the mail, you'd have over $400 and you could buy Photoshop (-: Again just a suggestion but then I'm the dad, what do I know? |

maxthedork: You totally beat me to that comment. It's not worth it to have an illegal version of photoshop, especially if you want to make money off of anything you do, it's very very immoral, and in some cases they can actually track it? Crazy. You saved me from going on a rant about stealing photoshop, thank you!! Katwhacker: You're in high school right? Hmm, well if you continue on with school, journeyed.com has great education discounts (they may actually have some for high school students too) and it makes all the adobe products so much more reasonable. I payed 300 bucks for a creative suite for illustration, it had photoshop, illustrator and indesign. I know it's still a steep price, but compared to 1499, it's a great investment and you will definitely get your moneys worth. Nevertheless, paint shop pro works just the same and you can get the same effects for the most part. Keep it up!! Sorry for the really long comment. |
